I'm having a hard time lining up the thing I want to cut - do you have a simple way to make sure it cuts in the proper place I'm trying to cut?

I bought a Westcott trimmer model 15804 several years ago. It has a clear plastic guide and square shouldered red cutting blade handles. What replacement blades fit my trimmer and how are they replaced? Thanks.

Can this trimmer be used to cut 100 lb paper?
This trimmer takes some force to push the blade through 100 lb paper but it does cut through it.
A guillotine may be a better choice if you will be frequently cutting 100 lb paper.

Can you score paper with this without cutting .?
A scoring blade is not included with this trimmer. It comes with two cutting blades.

How do you figure out how to cut a piece of 11" × 8.5" paper in half?
We recommend measuring the paper and lightly drawing a straight line at the halfway point, then following that line when cutting.

Are both blades meant to stay on the unit, or should I remove one for later use, when the first blade gets dull?
One is a replacement blade for when the other blade gets dull.
