Plump Pumpkins
These pleasant pumpkins make for a great seasonal science display!
Materials:
- Westcott 5” Kids scissors
- 4 pieces orange construction paper
- green paper scraps
- glue
- pencil

Step 1
Fold a piece of orange paper in half. Draw a half-pumpkin shape on the paper, making sure the middle of the pumpkin is along the fold. Cut out the pumpkin.
Step 2
Fold each remaining orange piece of paper in half and use the pumpkin cutout as a template to make three more pumpkins. On each pumpkin cutout, write a fact or descriptive word about pumpkins.
Step 3
To assemble the pumpkin, spread glue along the outside surface of a folded cutout. Then align a second cutout on top of the glue. Spread glue on this cutout in a similar manner and continue the process until all the cutouts are attached. Cut a stem and leaves from the green paper scraps and glue them to the top of the project.
Adult supervision is recommended when children use scissors.
