Smiling Sun
Sunshine masks are versatile; they're perfect for storytelling, gross-motor play, and even science exploration.
Materials:
- Westcott 5" Kids scissors
- paper plate with the center cut out
- yellow paper scraps
- triangle tracer
- jumbo craft stick
- yellow marker
- glue

Step 1
Trace and cut out many yellow triangles.
Step 2
Glue the triangles around the edge of the plate (mask) to make a sun.
Step 3
Color the craft stick yellow and glue it to the back of the mask to make a handle. When the glue is dry, hold the mask up to your face and smile!
Adult supervision is recommended when children use scissors.
