Safe and handy cutter
This cutter is very handy. I keep one close to open the many packages we get anymore. easy to use seems to be very safe as well the blade retracts or extends with thumb control so no open blades when you set the cutter down. Ceramic blades cut as well as the razor cutter I've been using. This may be my new "go to" cutter.

When I first received this product, I thought it was missing a blade at first. It looks like a plastic blade like they use with utility knives as displays. Once I read the instructions, I realized that this is the blade. I thought there's no way this was going to cut open a box and when I first tried it, I was shocked. It definitely cuts the tape, and it won't cut your hands by accident. It's a safety blade so you don't slice your hands open while opening your boxes. The only reason I give it a 4-star rating is for the fact that you can't lock the blade open while using. It gets a little difficult holding the blade button forward while cutting. I understand it's a safety cutter, but it slows you down a little bit. Other than that, this works great for opening boxes or to break them down. The blade is also easy to replace. I would definitely recommend this box cutter. It works great and I don't have to worry about one of the kids grabbing it and cutting themselves.

Very handy!
So much better for opening packages than struggling with scissors. The retractable blade means no safety worries when grabbing it, and its bright green color makes it easy to spot if it's in a jumble of other items in a kitchen junk drawer. It's lightweight and easy to use- it cut through heavy packing tape with ease.

Best Box Cutter Around!
The Westcott ceramic box cutter is by far the best and favorite tool that I have in my house. I use it daily for box opening and it stays sharp. I would highly recommend this to have around your house or office, it is very handy. I tell my friends and family about it and get one for them and they all love it as well!

Great buy for durability and quality
The blade is as sharp as a razor and keeps its sharpness for a long time. Ceramic blades hold their sharpness 10 times longer than carbon steel. The knife blades didn't brown or discolor my foods because there is no metal. They never rust and will not modify the taste of foods. Great buy for durability.

Light weight and easy to hold
I have never used a ceramic knife like this before so I decided to give it a shot. It took a little while to get used to the action, but once I did the knife was easy to use. I feel safer carrying it because of the safety feature it has. Would recommend to anyone using on a daily basis or as needed.

Safer than Steel
I was looking for an affordable knife to open delivered packages quickly. It is safe around my grandchildren because the blade stays retracted when not in use. It is light weight and the hole in the case is great for hanging in a convenient spot. The ceramic blade seems much safer than steel blades.

Perfect Christmas Present Tool
You cannot go wrong with Westcott scissors and safety knives. Having just celebrated Christmas, the knife was the perfect tool for the holidays. We used it to open boxes and break down boxes. We also used it to turn the big boxes into playhouses with doors and windows of all shapes and sizes.

Great little blade
Great little utility blade, it isn't very long or very big, but that makes it perfect for what I see its intended purpose as: a quick efficient little package opener. It has a ceramic blade which means it will stay sharp for a very long time assuming you arent hitting hard stuff and chipping it.

Perfect size safety knife
A safety knife is a must when you are crafting, and I like that this one is ceramic, I also love the the color is bright, that makes it extremely easy to find when I am looking for it. The blade is sharp and it is small enough to use on my smaller crafts, but sharp enough to use to open a box.

Ceramic blade
The ceramic blade cuts as good if not better than the break off metal ones. The blade is reversible and easy to flip around for a fresh blade although the ceramic blade appears to stay sharper longer. I do wish it had a blade lock to hold it open and that’s my reason for only giving it 4 stars

Hardly cutter to have
This is a very nice simple to use box cutter. I received this during Christmas time so it was used to open many Amazon boxes and to brake them down. The overall size is a little smaller then I’d like but I’m still able to get a secure grip and the blade is plenty sharp for simple box cuts.

Safety First, Safety Knife!
I love using this knife. I recently used it to cut some card board and it was so easy to cut. It didn’t get caught when cutting like some cutters I have used. Great for opening boxes and safe to use without worrying if I would cut through the items in the boxes. Great crafting tool.

Great Sharp Cermanic Cutting Tool
Very solid cutter with sharp ceramic blade. Easy to use and safely closes after you release the button. The cutter has a very comfortable handle that forms well to the hand. Easy one handed operation and has a nice spot to attach it to a tool belt or to secure to a craft table.

The safest way to open packages
This is a great little utility knife that is the safest way to open packages. My kids always opened packages using sharp and dangerous tools and this ceramic cutter is such a better solution. I like that the blade retracts and it easily fits in my hand. This is a great product.

Good Safety Knife
Good saftey knife / box cutter. The only complaint is that it only come with the one blade and it appears difficult to replace when that gets dull. I treid to pull it out and almost cut myself. It seems like it will have to go in the can once the blade is beyond usefulness.

Compact and Sharp!!
There are a couple of things that make this knife really stand out. First is the ergonomic design that fits your hand, even under less than ideal conditions. The second is the color. It's easy to spot in a crowded workspace. The lanyard hole is also appreciated! Get one!!

Safety Knife
This product came at the perfect time. I had to cut out various math shapes for an activity with my students. This product was comfortable in my hand and made nice, clean cuts without leaving a ragged edge. The blade retracted back easily and is easily stored in my desk.

Safety knife
This ceramic safety knife is great for cutting open boxes at home. We receive a lot of packages and I like to break them down for recycling. This knife comes in handy. It is durable and very sharp. I am glad it has a safety because I have small children at home.

This ceramic safety knife is great for easily opening boxes. I used this knife to open packages that I normally use a steel box cutter for. This knife was very compact but easy to use and worked great! I loved how easy it was to use and how safe and compact it is.

The Westcott Ceramic Safety Knife is hard plastic with a grip slide blade release. It fits well in my hand and is easy to hold and to use. I feel safe using it because it is not a sharp blade but actually works really well opening packages and such. Great product!

Lightweight and cuts smoothly
This is the first safety knife that I've used without a real razor blade. I was skeptical. WOW! It cuts great. Nice smooth cut. It is lightweight and fits nicely in your hand. Even after cutting for a lengthy time, there are not pressure marks on your hand.

Safer option
This cutter is a safer option to keep handy. I keep this in my kitchen junk drawer and has been used quite often for various tasks like opening packages , envelopes etc...I also have used this little cutter for cleaning out crevices in my kitchen and bathroom.

These scissors worked great in all the trials.
I tried these scissors out many different ways. I cut my beard one day .Another day I cut small vegetables (cilantro, green onions, parsley ) and they worked great. Then I used them in our computer room for cutting paper. In all 3 trials they were wonderful.

It's Great
Handy little cutter.
I've used it for opening and breaking down boxes as well as precise cutting of paper and construction paper for various projects and it works well.
It's good and after all I have used it for it's still as good as it was out of the box.
