Titanium Bonded Non-Stick blades are six times longer lasting than the previous formula. Westcott uses a process that bonds Titanium Bonded to the blades and then coats them with a breakthrough non-stick formula to produce an adhesive-resistant, easy-to-clean, and longer-lasting cutting edge. Are the 8” titanium non-stick scissors food safe?
All stainless steel, Titanium Bonded, and Titanium Non-stick Westcott scissors are food safe.
Our scissors are made from the medical-grade 420 alloy family, dictating them safe for use with food. Acme United has done extensive testing to assure this standard for our scissors.

We do not recommend sharpening these scissors as it will strip the coating.

Packaging says “set blade tension.” What does this mean and how is it done.
The blade tension may be adjusted by tightening or loosing the screw on the back of the scissors with a Philips head screwdriver.
