Westcott Premium Hot Glue Pen
This is a far cry better than the big bulky glue guns that I have used in the past. This is small and lightweight and allows you to do more precise work with it. Very easy to load and use. Heated up fairly quick. Tip turned pink showing that it was hot. It fit perfectly in my hand. The glue seemed to hold up pretty well after it dried too.

Excellent tool for crafting and repairs
This product is an excellent tool for crafters. It gives you control over where you want to put the hot glue. The more I use it, the more I find it useful for so many different projects. I like the thin line of glue...although, it would be a great improvement to be able to have wider lines of glue at times. This tool is a great improvement over the hot glue guns I have used previously. The only thing that could make it better is to make it cordless, and have an adjustable tip to be able to use on a wider range of projects and repairs. I really, really like this tool!

Highly Recommend!
This pen is a game changer! I mostly use this to update aeronautical overlays for work which can be incredibly tedious. This pen is extreme precise and easy to use for both important projects and simple arts and crafts. I have already ordered a second one for the house :)

Great glue pen!
I often struggle with the awkwardness of glue guns, so I was excited to try this pen! I was looking for something more precise than a normal glue gun. The pen like grip makes it easy to hold, and the color changing tip is a great feature to notify you when it's ready to use. I am still getting used to the loading mechanism, and I wish it was full size sticks instead of minis. I hate having to reload so often. Overall a great product!

Small but Effective
I love the looks of this Hot Glue Pen. When I first started using the hot glue pen it was a bit awkward to hold. However, the more I used it, the more familiar I became with how it worked. It does continue to flow slowly when you put it down...but that is how every glue gun works for me. It is definitely different than the usual glue gun and will take awhile to get the hang of it. Two things that I absolutely love about this glue pen are that the tip turns red when it is ready to use and there is a place for an extra glue stick on the top.

A Godsend!
So I may not be like most people. Me and a hot glue gun do not go well together. I always manage a sloppy glue and have it on something it's not supposed to or burning myself with it. This product arrived just in time. My little one likes to rearrange the ornaments on the tree. She has a collection of broken ones that needed to be fixed. We used this product to glue the little backs onto the nutcrackers. Great tool very easy to use and the best part precise. I didn't have glue everywhere. You cannot even see that the back are glued on.

I am someone who has crafted for about 60 years, Never have I had occasion to use a glue pen.So, I had a friend help me with this. She has used many glue pens in the past. She was amazed at the thin line that emerged from the pen. I am finding that I will use it now that I have it. It will come in very useful as I am mainly a card maker. I wasn't sure about the side handles so I shall have to read the instructions more carefully but I would definitely recommend this glue gun. To quote my friend-"It's gorgeous".

Easy to use!
This glue pen is so easy to use. It's small, easy to handle and easy to store. The glue flows smoothly and bonds well. Inserting the glue is simple as you slide it in the top then control it on the side as you are gluing away! I will be using this glue pen for all my projects!

Great for small tasks.
After practice, I have enjoyed using the glue pen for numerous projects. It is easier to control than a full size glue gun. I find myself using it more often because it stores in a more convenient place to grab and use.

Perfect size !!
I love this pen size glue gun. Ideal for projects that only need a small dab of glue. My son is getting married at the end of July....I used the glue pen to glue fabric to carboard and pictures to burlap.

AMAZING PRODUCT
I bought this glue pen a few weeks ago I was a little iffy about it at first because it was something I’d never used but now that I’ve used this bad boy there is NO WAY I am ever going back to a regular glue gun again. It is so easy to use and the fact that I can use it like a pen to write things out is a bonus!! Love the feature of the tip turning red when hot and back to blue when it’s cooled down. Will definitely be recommending to anybody who loves crafting!!

Glue Gun
My first use was for christmas decorations. Had to glue some cotton on to my wooden santa. Directions were terrible. no mention direction on how to hold it, no direction on how to stop glue from coming out tip, no mention gun had glue stick in it already or how to release stick. once figured out the gun worked very well. the pen style was easy to control and how much to distribute to area. glue heated up fast. just a bit awkward to hold gun and press trigger.

Great glue gun with extra features!
The hand grip on this pen glue gun fit my hands perfectly and made it very easy to manipulate the glue. I was able to write words with the glue. The red tip feature (tip turns red when the glue gun has heated up) really is wonderful. Just keep in mind that due to the smaller "stream" of glue coming out that the glue cools down faster. I can see this being handy for working on crafts that require gluing in narrow openings. Great tool for maker spaces.

Great control!
Comes with written instructions, but I watched a short video tutorial to properly insert the mini-glue stick. It takes a little getting used to. I recommend practicing a few shots to get used to the trigger flow. It stays hot with no glue drips so there's no waste. Love the tip indicator, it turns red when it's hot & ready to use. Turns blue when it's cool and ones it cools, you can easily remove glue strings from the silicone tip.

Retraction to previous review, Love It!
Originally purchased the short handle version, it was all kinds of bad. Received the new version from Westcott.
In appearance it is almost identical to the previous version. However, I am happy to say appearance is where the similarities stop. The new version came with 1 glue stick already loaded and another in the package. Making it ready to use, eliminating the needing to purchase additional glue sticks before use. Once the unit is heated the handle is super easy to pull back. When you press the trigger the handle glides gently and safely forward. Love It! This is just what I was expecting. I can't wait to use it with my scouts. With the cool touch tip and easy glide trigger even my special needs son (who loves to craft) will be able to use this pen.
I wont throw my old faithful first Westcott glue gun away. But, I will give it a much needed break.

Great Idea
This product is a great idea...it is so much easier to put the hot glue exactly where you want it than with the old "gun style" hot glue guns. The only issue I had was that the part that pushes the glue down kept hitting my big hands when I was using it. Other than that, it is a great product and I love the fact that you can visibly see (the tip turns red) when it is hot enough to use.

It does what it is supposed to do... I think.
I am not a crafter -- I have limited use for a glue pen. It seemed like a cool device to have on hand so I gave this one a try. I used it to place a seal over the flap of an envelope and it worked out great. I won't use it every day, but it is there if I need it, and it doesn't take up much space; the pen and a bunch of extra glue sticks fit nicely into a one quart plastic zip bag.

Good for detailed craft work
As a crafter, I feel this is a good addition to the tool box for the finer, detailed glue work. Although a bit confusing to get it loaded the first time, it's easy to use once you get the hang of it. That's another thing, it does take some time to get used to the 'pencil' form, but it's comfortable to use and good design. The pen heats up fast and I like the 'red' tip when hot so I know when it's ready to use, or cooled down enough to put away. There was some glue dripping while still hot and not in use, but I'm not sure if that's due to the pen or the glue stick quality - I'm still using up the mini sticks I purchased for my glue gun. I will still use my standard glue gun for large projects, but this pen is great for adding the smaller delicate pieces, like buttons, beads, ribbon, etc ... I guess that's where the glue gun vs glue pen distinction comes in, and why you need specific tools for specific needs!

Awesome!!
Loved how lightweight it was; didn't have to struggle to hold onto it, which also made it easy to maneuver around. Very easy to load in more glue sticks. Always STOPPED when I wanted it to. My girlfriend and I spent a couple hours doing Christmas 'things'. She borrowed it 2 weeks ago and I haven't seen it since!! Obviously she loves it too!! Best glue gun I/we have ever used!!

Westcott Hot Glue Pen
I like how quickly the glue pen heats up and by the tip turning from blue to red let's you know when it's cool or hot. I like how the flow of the glue from the glue pen. The glue pen needs a stand so it doesn't lay on it's side. It's not convenient each time to move the lever on the sides when more glue is needed, however, I do like how it keeps the flow consistent.

My favorite hot glue gun
I honestly really like this hot glue gun, it has many really great features such as the tip turning red when it's hot. I think that's a great safety feature that can prevent many unnecessary burns. It's also quite ergonomic and all around easy to use, my review would be 5 starts but I'm my experience the nozzle still lets glue or even after you release it

Great glue pen for any crafter or school project
This is a really innovative Glue Pen! I love this product in addition to my glue gun as this product is fantastic for small detail work. I like that I can control the amount of glue that I need and the changing color of the tip when hot is a great additional feature. The product is really well made and is great for any craft or my kids projects.

The release blue wheel is designed to hold the glue sticks firmly in place. Place the glue pen in the release and then pulling back the feeding mechanism.

Why did the trigger come off 1side

The charging slider slams down on my hand when I depress the button to activate glue flow. It does it so fast that it hits my hand and hurts. It is normal for this to happen?
