Cuts Well & has Comfortable Handle
The Westcott 9.5" Pinking Shears are lightweight & comfortable to hold. I typically use this type of scissor on cotton since straight cuts on cotton fray. I was working with fleece (which doesn't fray) but I wanted a decorative finish. These shears cut through 2 layers with no problem at all! The craftsmanship of these shears is superior to others & I can tell they will last for years to come! I definitely recommend purchasing these pinking shears!

Great find!!
It's hard to find affordable pinking shears that work well. The cutting blade is about 2.75" long, allowing you to make long cutting strokes. The handle have a molded non slip grip making them comfortable to use.
I was really surprised at the power of these shears. They cut through 8 layers of 24 lb paper with ease and handled 12 sheets of the paper too. Happy to have found these great shears.

Zig Zag cuts
Cuts the zigzag pinking edges - I use these for quick edges on my fabric to stop thread pulls, so the bent angle makes these better than my usual older pair. The soft grip is comfortable, but my hands are a bit smaller and I did find them a bit harder / tight to open/close. However, that didn’t stop me from using or cause any pain, so just a small thing for me personally. Would recommend.

Pinking Shears… it’s been awhile!
These Westcott Pinking Shears are the largest I have ever used. They measure about 9.5 inches from the blades to the end of the handles.
They seem tight when I used them to cut through fabric, paper, felt, and vinyl. I’m hoping they will loosen up a bit the more I use them.
These scissors do have a bent ergonomic handle which make it so much easier to cut on a flat surface.

Pinking Shears-Light and sharp
These are a great pair of pinking shears. They cut easily and are light compared to other pinking shears I've used. They cut through flannel like it was butter. The blades are metal but there is a plastic component next to the screw that hold them together. When you open them all the way, they go off track but can easily be put back on track.

Prevents Fraying
I really enjoyed using these shears. Helped me cut some material that I was using to make rice bags. I loved that it stopped the jeans from fraying at the bottom. That was what I was wanting. This felt like a heavy duty shear. Had some nice weight to it. It was comfortable to hold and did not make my fingers feel bad.

Comfortable and effective
I have scissors all over the house but only one pair of pinking shears. I don't us them often but when I do I don't want it to be a painful experience - and it was. This Wescott is nice; it has a soft grip but it isn't spongy, just comfortable. I wear web belts that I trim to length and this pair did an excellent job.

Durable Shears
These are super heavy duty and plenty sharp. They create a nice edge for paper or fabric very easily, without too much effort on my part. The comfort handle relieves pressure on my hand to prevent my hand from cramping. They are thick and durable and strong, making them suitable for various materials and projects.

Staple for those who work with fabric.
I decided to use these on a project I'm starting for the holidays with fabric. Medium weight fabric, I don't have any heavy fabric to review against. The scissors cut very nicely as anticipated. Easy to utilize and cut smoothly. Scissors are of good weight so they won't slip from hands. Great for fabric users.

Large and Capable!
I absolutely love these nice, modern pinking shears! They have nice, long and sharp blades that tackle all of my needs. I can cut fabric without needing an edge seam and create easy fancy edging for journaling and crafting. My only con is that the handles are too big and make them a bit awkward for me to hold.

Sturdy and Durable
These shears are well made and sturdy. They cut precisely and will be a tool inyour sewing or crafting room for a long time. They cut through just about anything and will keep fabric from fraying in sewing projects. It works great with crafting too. It makes longer cuts through paper versus the edgers.

Comfort and Durability to Handle Your Projects
Comfortable to use due the the size and quality of the grip. Sharp blades make cutting fabric a breeze. I tend to use thin to medium density of fabric for my projects but I have faith that they would work well on heavier weights as well. So glad I have this pair in my arsenal of go-to tools!

Sewing with Ease
Love these shears. The handles fit so well in my hand. Similar to other Westcott scissors I own, these handles help me really control my cutting and I’m able to do it quickly. The blades are sharp and the fabric doesn’t stick and get caught. No choppy cutting and gives a nice straight line.

Projects made easy with smooth cut
The length of the blade is nice. The fit and feel of the handle allows for use for a length of time. This scissors doubled for cutting wrapping paper, love the ease of cutting on a flat surface and then onto cutting material for a sewing project. Another great product from Westcott!

Westcott 9.5" Pinking shears, comfortable & sharp
9.5" Pinking shears, ergonomic bent handles that are comfortable, sharp stainless steel blades that cut well for me; I use them on card stock and paper stacks rather than fabric. They worked better when using on a flat solid surface and with multiple sheets of paper or card stock.

Easy cutting, very helpful
Pleasantly surprised with these. When I've used pinking shears in the past, they were stiff and awkward, but this was a good improvement. They cut well and I didn't feel like they were fighting me at every snip. Used it on felt and fabric and have been very happy with it so far.

Better than expected!
Better than expected! The pinking shears cut through 2 layers of cotton fabric easily. Did not try more because it's not often I would cut more layers than 2. Heavy weight paper and thin cardboard was also a clean easy cut.
The shears will make a great addition to my sewing box.

Great scissors.
Quality scissors. Good weight. Good cut. The scissors are made for doing medium weight materials. They make it through old denim jeans quite well. The cuts are neat and clean. The scissors fit well in your hands so you should be able to do lots of material without tiring out.

Pinking sheers zig the zag
The Westport pinking sheers are very nice. I scrapbook a lot and make gift tags so these were very convenient because I could stack around 6-8 sheets of thin cardstock and cut at once. The blades are longer so it helps when cutting larger projects to get one continuous cut.

Nice Shears
These are great. I use my Pinking shears when I need to prevent fraying on raw hems. They also make a great pattern that can add some fun to the edges of sewing or even paper projects. These are a great size and are comfortable to use even for extended periods of time.

Excellent Pinking Shears!
We’ll made and I was pleasantly surprised by how large they are. I don’t know if that’s typical for pinking sheers but wow! They cut through three layers of cotton fabric without any hesitation. And, after doing that several times over, my hand was not fatigued-at all!

Don't punish the left-handed
I am trying to be fair with this review but I just have to say it! Why is everything right-handed friendly? Being left handed has made these very hard to use. I found them to be to heavy (I have arthritis) I do realize that a lightweight pinking shear is not out there.

Heavy Duty Shears - cuts smoothly
These heavy duty (although they say Medium Duty on the package) shears can cut thru heavy cardboard with little effort! They incorporate some type of ball bearing friction surface between the blades to make cutting effortless. Can't wait to use them as designed.

These are the best pinking shears for denim quilt block projects. They are spaced for thick or multiple layers of fabric. The straight edge helps me rest the shears on my cutting table. The cushioned handles keep my hands from tiring while cutting large projects.

Very Nice Quality
I remember my mother's pinking sheers when I was growing up. They were so expensive she never let us touch them. This pair was is so reasonably priced that I am not worried about my grandkids using them. They are light enough for budding crafters to handle too.

Comfortable and balanced
Very sharp scissors that are comfortable to hold and easy to control. These scissors cut through 6 layers of cotton fabric with ease, no slips, beautiful even cut line. The weight balance is good allowing you to hold steady angle while cutting longer pieces.
