I really needed a new sharper since my retro one finally burned out. I have not found one that takes batteries that is comparable. This one unfortunately the same. I was able to sharpen a few pencils and then a point got stuck. I opened and cleared the point. I put in fresh high power batteries but the power was just not there.

Excellent design

Great Pencil Sharpener
This is my first electric sharpener, and I’m so glad I tried it! It sharpens the pencil very quickly and precisely. No more twisting to sharpen pencils. You just insert the pencil in the slot, hold onto it gently, and your pencil is sharpened. Love it!

Small and Mighty
This pencil sharpener is not for small kids. Use by adults or with adult supervision. You must place on a hard surface to work efficiently. Until you get the hang of if the pencil spins around. It is convenient to use anywhere and economical to use.

Tiny yet mighty
I really like this compact sharpener, it’s perfect small size. It isn’t bulky but it still delivers what a bigger sharpener does. For its small size it sharpens very nice. I thought it would be slower or not as good but it really is just compact.

How do you open battery door?
If you push in the tab on the bottom, it should be able to be removed.

do you sell replacement blades for this? Love these sharpeners, but blades get dull quickly so I have to rebuy a new sharpener over and over.
We unfortunately do not have replacement blades available for our sharpeners due to safety reasons.
