Doesn't cut straight
I'm very disappointed in this product. At first glance it seems good: sturdy, nice blade, easy to slice, etc. Unfortunately, either the printed grid is off, or the blade isn't attached correctly, as it doesn't cut correctly. If I align a paper up to the top guide, and cut, the angle produced will not be 90 degrees. Which is precisely why I ordered this, to cut correct rectangles, not trapezoids, quadrilaterals, etc... I wish that I had kept the package so that I could return it, but alas I trusted the Westcott name, and assumed that it would do what it was meant to do.

Is there an owner’s manual? (Paper or on line)? Such as sharpening the blade (yes or no), oiling the blade cutting edge, etc.!
We do not recommend sharpening for safety reasons

Do you sell just a replacement green guard? Mine broke and will not fit back into the slots anymore.

WHAT COMES IN THE BOX? ANY PAPERWORK LIKE FOR THE WARRANTY
There is no warranty paperwork in the box. Our warranty policy is stated on the outside of the packaging as well as on our website.

Our blade will not automatically stay all the way up when trying to align paper, which has resulted in a couple of close calls. Is their a way to tighten the blade so that it stays up except when intentionally pulling it down to cut?
Unfortunately, there is not a way to tighten the blade.
We recommend keeping one hand on the handle and one on the base when using the trimmer.
If you feel that this is a defective unit, it is covered under a 15 year warranty.

Can you purchase replacement safety guide? we have one of these cutter and the safety guide broke and were looking to purchase a new guide.
Unfortunately we do not sell replacement parts for the Guillotine trimmers.
As your Westcott item is covered by a limited year manufacturer's warranty, we would need either a proof of purchase (such as a dated receipt) or the return of the product to complete your claim.

Do you make any trimmers with the cutting guide that slides and locks? I have an older Westcott Titanium trimmer that has that feature and I love it!
We unfortunately do not have any trimmers available with a sliding cutting guide.
