Never have used better.
I have been a crafter for many years and have used countless paper cutters. This one hands-down is far more superior to any of them.

Can the blade on my Westcott 12" CarboTitanium Bonded Guillotine Trimmer be tightened? It will not stay in the up position while I insert paper to be cut.

The question as to how does one accurately cut paper was not fully answered in a previous question. What numbers are used on the horizontal part of the to determine how much will be cut off? Does one look at the left end of the paper to see how much ...
Measure from the left side of the item being cut. The distance from the right edge of the board to the left side of the paper is the length of what you are cutting.

How to you line up where the blade will cut the paper? Its like guesswork every time?

Lining up where the blade starts and the trimmer ends should produce an accurate cut.

We do not suggest removing the safety guard for safety reasons.
