Rated 5 out of 5 by mssty from both sides I have been using this paper trimmer for many years now. What I really love about this is that it has both metric and imperial measurements at the top and bottom for easy use. (I use metric.). It can also be turned "upside down" i.e. the trimmer can be on the left instead of the right like most cutters so that you can easily use it with your left hand for cutting. I find it very easy to use. The only 'negative' thing I found was that the strip under the blade does tend to get deep grooves and I find it hard to find replacement strips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hickoryc from Excellent Product In This Price Range I use this paper cutter on high gloss heavyweight photo paper. There are two lock-downs for the guide bar. When trimming multiple sheets, it is best to cut single sheets. It is not necessary to unlock the top bar between sheets if paper is less than half the bar height. New owners should experiment with scrap paper to get used to the cutting location.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SDTeacher from Easy to Use for the Most Part Once I figure out where to cut, this paper trimmer does its job. Unfortunately, for me at least, it takes some thinking and practice before I can figure out where I cut the paper. The blade covers part of the ruler and when I try to cut according to the ruler, it always seems to end up a little bit off center of where I intend to cut. This paper trimmer cuts smoothly and it was reasonably priced.

Rated 3 out of 5 by rlancos from Not good for paper crafting with small pieces I do paper mosaic and collage. I cut up old greeting and holiday cards into small strips, squares and shapes. It is difficult to measure at the one inch line, since it is under the arm which holds the blade. And to cut a greeting card into half-inch strips, which I often do, is pretty much impossible to measure. Also, the constant locking and unlocking of the blade for each cut slows down the work considerably when one needs to cut several hundred pieces. If you want to cut small and precise pieces, I recommend a guillotine blade or another brand which has a clear cutting arm. However, it is a sturdy cutting device, and its safety features are good for young children's work, as was mentioned in another review. This one is just not suited for my particular needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by tom o from At Last! My grandkids are, like most kids, drawn to the paper cutter in our home office. I had to put the old fashioned paper cutter up om a high shelf to keep their little hands off of it. Then I worried that the big heavy thing would fall from the shelf and injure someone. Now, with the Trimair my worries are over. This light weight, easy to use, and way safer trimmer is simple to use and stores anywhere. Thank you for making my office more grandchild friendly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by KTCrafter from Easy to use I’ve used this for my personal crafting and card making, and it has handled all paper weights well. It took a little time to get used to using and making sure my cuts were squared up, but after that initial learning curve, it’s been great. The rotary blade has cut through all paper I’ve used so far with ease, and hopefully stays sharp for a while.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tolson379 from Smooth Cutting! The Trimair paper cutter works great and cuts smoothly! It slides effortlessly and adjusts easily to cut one sheet or ten sheets. The adjustment knobs are rubberized for grip and they adjust with ease. The table is metal with demarcations in inches and centimeters/millimeters. There’s also a handy storage compartment for two spare cutting blades.

There is a foam compression strip under the cutting bar to hold the paper. On my cutter (6 years old) this has started to come off and prevents the paper from being held properly. Can I get a replacement foam strip to repair the cutter?
