Excellent Paper Cutter
I got this Carbo Titanium paper cutter because I've tried a variety of small trimmers in the past and wasn't very happy with them. As a teacher, I end up working on projects for school at home and often need to cut paper to use for signs, manipulatives, and bulletin board visuals. This is by far one of the best I've ever used. It is clearly marked so you can see what size piece you are cutting. The swing out ruler makes it possible to cut paper as wide as 18 inches, which is a real plus when you're working with construction paper. While it's easy to cut copy weight paper, the most impressive job was how it handled card stock. The only thing that took a little time was learning to change the blade. I read the directions, but it required a little practice to get the blade out and back in. You also need to note that one of the two blade carriages is labeled scoring and the other is labeled cutting. Needless to say, the scoring blade doesn't cut anything!

Versatile trimmer for paper, plastic or cardstock!
This trimmer is a wonderful tool! It has a swing out ruler that comes in very handy. The blades are very sharp and can cut through 10 sheets of 20 lb. paper. It handles cardstock with ease and precision, always giving a clean, straight cut. It can even cut plastic. I received this trimmer to try, in return for my honest opinion. The spring loaded cutting system give cleaner cuts consistently-time and again. It carries a 15 yr. warranty and has Carbo Titanium blades. It will consistently give you clean cuts!

Great Cut and Easy Storage
This Trimmer works great for cutting card stock. The size of this Trimmer allowed me to store it in a drawer at my workbench. I was disappointed that it didn't cut Vinyl ... but it never claimed that it did. Definitely a keeper though!

Great trimmer
Great little cutter. Picked it up for trimming stuff at office. It cut 5 sheet stacks like a champ. The guide pops up so it’s really easy to slide in the papers and position them. It has two sliders one says score one says cut. Not sure if this is what it’s for, but the score one works great to test cut. it just makes a little crease and doesn’t cut. I used it to make sure I was lined up. It had no problems cutting laminated paper. I am very happy with it.

Sturdy and portable paper trimmer
So far this looks like a paper trimmer that I will use for a long time. Sturdy construction and I also like that it's a bit wider than the slimmer models out there. I often found that for my projects I had to extend the measuring arm and with this one, I already noticed I don't have to do it that often. And it's also nice that it's not that bulky like the 12" wide trimmers. A good middle ground version that will be very versatile for many projects.

Down for the cut!!
My first cut was 110# cardstock followed by foil cardstock with plastic coating. Both cut effortlessly!
Sturdy & secured blade carriage, it means no longer loosing the blade like my other brand trimmer. The scoring carriage is a plus! The extended ruler good to have when cutting larger size cardstock.

Versatile Office or Hobby Trimmer!
I have used smaller trimmer that were convenient, but this Westcott Carbo Titanium Trimmer, takes it to a new level. This trimmer handles more paper and thicker stock than other portable trimmers I have used. Straighter cuts and easy placement of items to be cut, makes this trimmer a firm BUY!

Sturdy Trimmer
I’ve used many trimmers in past for use in school and at home. I loved the large base on this trimmer. It was a nice size for trimming scrapbook paper and large construction paper. It cut smooth and clean and seems sturdier than trimmers I’ve used in the past.

Westcott Carbo Titanium Wide Body Paper Trimmer, 12" and the 9" trimmer. On the 9" cutter I can go all the way to the end with no interferences and both blades on cutter. On the 12", I can not go to end without removing one of the blades. Why?

Making sure the image is aligned correctly and having one steady hand on the image while the other hand is trimming the image.

Is it possible to get replacement scoring blades for this trimmer? My mom lost hers and we can't find another one anywhere

How does one line up a line in the middle of a piece of paper that you want to use as guide for cutting with the cutting groove on the paper cutter? There is a number grid along two edges of the cutter, but I still need to guesstimate how to line it up.
To do that please find out the total length of the paper and divide by two, then move the paper out that amount and score your halfway mark.
